Morning Cheat Sheet
Here’s everything you need to know about Philadelphia sports this Monday morning:
1. The Phillies battled their third straight rain delay on Sunday and lost in the ninth inning. Jimmy Rollins left the game in the third inning with a groin injury that will require an MRI, but Michael Schwimer looked good (after allowing a home run on his second pitch) in his debut.
2. A brand new look could be coming to the Eagles’ offensive line if they decide to start both Jason Kelce and Danny Watkins. Juan Castillo says that the new-look linebackers will be “ready to win the Super Bowl.”
3. Another skill of the Phillies is playing quick. They’re one of the fastest games to watch. Bill Lyon says that part of that speed, Hunter Pence, is a commodity every team needs.
4. Jamar Chaney has no bad blood after a hit he took Thursday night. If only Eagles fans were as forgiving. Rob Ellis writes that patience doesn’t come easy for the Birds’ faithful.
