Andy Reid Jolly At Postgame Press Conference

Andy Reid’s mood during his postgame press conference Sunday may have been his best ever. Reasonably so – as the Eagles rebounded from a 31-10 fourth-quarter deficit to stun the Giants 38-31 thanks to Michael Vick and DeSean Jackson.

The Eagles coach, who is sometimes combative with members of the media, almost could not have been in a better mood. And he suggested the reporters in the room with him ought to be as well.

“It’s a great day to be a Philadelphia writer,” he said, drawing laughs.

Reid was asked if he was surprised the Giants punted to Jackson on what turned out to be the game’s final play. The receiver took it back 65 yards for the game-winning touchdown.

“I was happy they did, man,” Reid said. “I was happy they did.”
