Reid Tells Jackson To Stay Home
LINCOLN FINANCIAL FIELD — DeSean Jackson did not attend Sunday’s game at the behest of Andy Reid, according to Jackson’s spokesperson Bobby McRae.
Jackson missed the bulk of a meeting Saturday for the second week in a row, leading to the decision to leave the wideout inactive for the Cardinals game. According to a source, it was a special teams meeting that Jackson was late for, and he was told by his receivers coach that he would not play.
The Eagles then asked him to stay home.
“He understands the severity of what happened,” said McRae. “It had nothing to do with the contract. It was an honest mistake.”
