Eagles Activate Brandon Graham

Eagles Activate Brandon Graham

NOVACARE COMPLEX — The Eagles have made their decision on Brandon Graham – he’s on the team.

The team activated Graham from the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list. To make room on the 53-man roster, the team released guard Kyle DeVan.

Graham (@BGraham54) tweeted “I’m happy to be back eagles fans thanks for the love!!”

Graham will likely suit up for Monday night’s game with the Bears. Juqua Parker missed practice for the second straight day because of a high ankle sprain and is listed as doubtful.

This week the former first-round pick practiced in full for the second straight week — actually a little more than full, as he is being used on the scout team, the second-team defense and special teams to get his conditioning up.

“I had a good week of practice, I felt good,” said Graham.

Graham’s conditioning has improved, he said, as has his grasp of Jim Washburn’s scheme. The defensive line coach has been putting him through a boot camp of sorts, focusing much of his attention on the Michigan product to try and get him up to speed.

“I pretty much got it now,” said Graham. “I know all the plays; some of the stuff I need to work on the way he wants it. I thought I had it but he wanted to tweak some little stuff here and there. It’s still a learning process because [the other defensive linemen] went through it at camp and now pretty much got it. I gotta catch up.”

If Andy Reid decides Graham is not quite ready for action, Phillip Hunt will likely get a healthy amount of snaps.

Shady Getting Better

LeSean McCoy practiced again Friday and declared himself “ready to roll.”

He allowed the flu bug has not totally left his system, and said he is holding his food down “for the most part.”

“I’ll be OK, though. Practicing the last two days…I feel good,” he said.

Brent Celek (hip) and Akeem Jordan (concussion) also practiced on Saturday.
