Eagles Practice Squad: The Return Of Chad
Chad Hall is right back with the Eagles.
The Eagles signed Hall to the practice squad less than 24 hours after waiving him, one of five players signed to the practice squad.
Running back Stanley Havili and linebacker Greg Lloyd — both 2011 draft picks — have also been signed, as has offensive lineman Dallas Reynolds, and defensive end Daniel Te’o-Nesheim.
Teams are allowed to carry eight practice squad players.
Center Mike McGlynn, cut by the Eagles Saturday, was reportedly claimed off waivers by the Bengals.
The Eagles also began tweaking their 53-man roster, claiming guard Kyle DeVan off waivers from the Colts and releasing rookie defensive tackle Cedric Thornton.
DeVan, 26, started 21 regular season games for the Indianapolis, including 12 last season at left guard position. He was the starting right guard during the Colts’ Super Bowl run in 2009.
He will be reunited with Eagles offensive line coach Howard Mudd, who served in the same capacity with Indianapolis from 1998-2009
