Eagles Cut Chad Hall, Sinorice Moss

Eagles Cut Chad Hall, Sinorice Moss

The bubble burst for a couple Eagles receivers Saturday.

A league source confirms that the Eagles have waived Chad Hall. Sinorice Moss has also been cut, per Pro Football Talk.

That means the Eagles will more than likely go into the season with their receiving corps consisting of DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Jason Avant, Riley Cooper and Steve Smith. Maclin has just gotten back on the field after a significant health scare this offseason, while Smith is working back from micro fracture surgery.

Both Hall and Moss were used in the return game this preseason, so the Eagles will have to find an answer there. Rookie Dion Lewis is a possibility for kick returns.

In a bit of a surprise move, defensive tackles Anthony Hargrove and Derek Landri were also waived. Both were sturdy working in with the first team this offseason.

“Anytime you get cut it’s surprising,” said Hargrove. “But hey, it’s the nature of the business. There are 31 other teams, so we’ll see what happens.”

Various reports indicate that Donald Lee, Mike McGlynn and Austin Howard will also be cut.

The Eagles need to trim their roster to 53 by 6 p.m. Saturday.
