Morning Cheat Sheet
Here’s everything you need to know about Philadelphia sports to kick off your work week:
1. The Phillies won their next to last game in Clearwater, Fla. behind a strong outing from Roy Halladay. Rob Ellis writes that the team will struggle to replace two key pieces once the team arrives in Philadelphia.
2. Brian Boucher turned in a great effort for the Flyers last night, but the team fell to Boston 2-1. The players are struggling to keep their heads up as teams catch up to them in the standings.
3. Doug Collins stuck with Andre Iguodala with the game on the line Sunday afternoon but the decision didn’t pay off. The Sixers lost to the Sacramento Kings in overtime.
4. The Union have started their season with a winning streak. They beat the expansion Vancouver Whitecaps 1-0 on Saturday in their home opener at PPL Park. Carlos Ruiz (no, not that Carlos Ruiz) scored the lone goal.
5. Eagles tackle Jason Peters was arrested Friday night in Shreveport, La. when he was busted for a loud music violation and resisting an officer after he refused to turn down the music in his car.
