Jackson, Herremans Practice Again And Make Progress

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Todd Herremans and Jamaal Jackson practiced again Monday morning, as the offensive line begins to take shape.

Jackson was limited to individual drills as Herremans took another step forward, working in and out of the first unit during team activity. He shared time at left guard with Max Jean-Gilles and showed no limitations.

With Jackson not all the way back and Nick Cole (knee) again unable to go, Mike McGlynn manned the center position in front of Kevin Kolb.

“It will be nice to get us all out there and working together and see where we can progress from there,” said Herremans. “With Nick and Max and Mike coming on strong at center, we have great depth now that we’re back. We went from being a little scarce to having great depth.”

Herremans and Jackson were both removed from physically unable to perform list over the weekend. This is an expected progression for Herremans but not as much for Jackson, who was in jeopardy of missing about a third of the season as he makes his way back from ACL surgery.

Now, there’s a speck of hope that he might be ready for the regular-season opener.

“We’re going to monitor them and just see,” said coach Andy Reid. “With Todd, we’re taking it nice and easy here. With Jamaal, it’s a little different situation. Jamaal’s more recently with surgery, but he’s feeling well, he’s feeling good, and we’ll just see how both of them do day-to-day.”
