Drexel Dominates St. Francis To Keep Win Streak Alive
There are only hours left in 2011, but the Drexel Dragons continue to prove why this season could be the Year of the Dragon. Drexel extended its win streak to six with a dominant 63-42 win over St. Francis.
Everything was going Drexel’s way. The Dragons never trailed against the Red Flash and at one point, led by as many as 27 points.
After exploding for a 31-point outing against Fairfield, senior Samme Givens scored just 11 points while grabbing four rebounds.
Damion Lee led the Dragons with 14 points and eight rebounds. Daryl McCoy scored seven points and controlled the paint to collect 14 rebounds.
Drexel allowed St. Francis to score just 42 points, a season-best for the defensive-minded Dragons.
The Dragons (8-4) will start the new calendar year with CAA play against Georgia State (9-3) on Monday.
